Offering samplings from an array of restaurants, wineries and food trucks along the eclectic Venice boulevard, the Second Annual “Taste of Abbot Kinney” will take place Sunday, Oct. 24.
The event, benefiting Inside Out Community Arts, will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. at select locations on Abbot Kinney Boulevard. Inside Out Community Arts is a nationally recognized, award-winning non-profit founded in 1997 that brings after school arts education to disadvantaged and under-served youths in the Los Angeles area.
“We are very excited about this year’s event,” says Varina Bleil, executive director of Inside Out. “The Abbot Kinney restaurateurs are so generous and offer terrific food, and the feel is very authentic, very Abbot Kinney.”
In addition to the various food and wine tastings, some salons and retailers will offer event-related services and live music will be performed.
Some participating restaurants include: Abbot’s Habit, Abbot’s Pizza Co., The Brickhouse, Casa Linda, French Market Café, Hal’s, Joe’s Restaurant and Bar, Lemonade, Lily’s French Café & Bar, Marla’s, N’Ice Cream, The Otheroom, Primitivo, Three Square Bakery & Café and Tlapazola Grill.
Among the participating food trucks are: Ludo Truck, Del’s Lemonade, Jodi Maroni, Lake Street Creamery, Organic Oasis, Slammin’ Sliders, The Surfer Taco, and TnB BBQ.
Some participating wineries include: Acacia, Babock Winery, Conway Family Wines, including Deep Sea Wines and Rancho Arroyo Grande Winery, Four Vines, Gruet Winery, La Marca, Zaca Mesa Winery, all courtesy of Lincoln Fine Wines.
The bands and musical acts scheduled to perform include: Adam Stern & Friends, Bird York, citysquare, Kai Brown, Nina Storey, Thelonious Dub, and All Destroyed Momentarily.
