Adam Pockross recently joined the Argonaut staff as the reporter for the What’s On section.
Among his responsibilities are covering arts and entertainment stories regarding local people and upcoming events, as well as compiling some of the listings for the What’s On section.
A resident of Playa del Rey, Pockross grew up in Colorado. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in broadcast journalism from Syracuse University and is currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in dramatic writing from California State University in Long Beach.
Pockross previously wrote environmental-related commentaries and profiles for the Venice-based Web site Gliving.tv and worked as a writer and research assistant for food and wine personality Anthony Dias Blue.
He has also previously covered stories for The Venice Paper and the Vail Daily in Colorado.
Among his interests are skiing, painting, drawing and playing the drums and guitar.
