A community meeting on the proposed Marina del Rey Affordable Housing Policy will take place on Wednesday, September 19th, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Burton Chace Park Community Room, 13650 Mindanao Way, Marina del Rey.

The purpose of the proposed policy, which includes refinements to the existing Marina del Rey Affordable Housing Policy, is to preserve existing affordable housing supplies (replacement units) and support the creation of new affordable housing units (inclusionary units) within the Marina del Rey Land Use Plan area, in compliance with the Mello Act, while balancing the county’s ability to generate revenues from Marina del Rey grant leases for countywide public benefit uses.

The proposed policy would potentially affect areas within the Coastal Zone and within three miles thereof in Los Angeles County. Specifically, the policy would potentially affect the Marina del Rey area within the Coastal Zone of the county.

The Notice of Intent (NOI) to adopt a Negative Declaration (ND) and the proposed ND for the County of Los Angeles Marina del Rey Affordable Housing Policy (proposed project) are available for review and comment from Wednesday, September 5th, through Thursday, October 4th, according to county documentation.

Written responses must be received by 5 p.m. Thursday, October 4th, at the County of Los Angeles Department of Beaches and Harbors, Attn: Santos H. Kreimann, 13837 Fiji Way, Marina del Rey 90292.
