The Angelic Auxiliary — a group of 50 “socially-conscious” women on the Westside — raised more than $150,000 for child abuse prevention programs offered by Children’s Bureau at the auxiliary’s “Carnival at the Pier” event Sunday, March 20th in Santa Monica.

Children’s Bureau is a 100-year-old nonprofit organization active in the prevention and treatment of child abuse and neglect.

About 600 children and parents attended the event, which featured amusement rides, park games and a silent auction.

Benefit co-chairs for the event were Missy Kolsky and Annabel Montgomery.

Since The Angelic Auxiliary was formed in 1997, more than $750,000 has been raised for Children’s Bureau.
