Organizers of the 42nd Annual Marina del Rey Holiday Boat Parade will begin hanging boat parade banners on Marina streets the week of November 22nd.

The street banner program is designed to promote boat parade sponsors.

The main boat parade is planned between 6 and 8 p.m. Saturday, December 11th, with a preview boat parade scheduled between 7 and 9 p.m. Friday, December 10th.

For a cash donation of $1,000, a business or organization will receive two street banners mounted on light standards on center medians in the Marina with their company name or logo at the bottom of the banner.

“This unique outdoor advertising opportunity is part of the colorful and highly visible banner system announcing special events in the Marina,” says boat parade president Cindy Williams.

The street banner program will continue eight weeks until Monday, January 10th.

“If you’re looking for a smart way to exercise your marketing dollars, achieve stronger community ties and support the boat parade, you can’t get this kind of package in this market in any other way,” Williams said. “Our street banner sponsorship opportunities are limited because we have already had several businesses come forward so we encourage interested participants to respond quickly.”

Theme of the 2004 Marina Holiday Boat Parade is “Sights and Sounds of the Holidays.”

“We are already receiving inquiries about how to enter the parade from boaters who want to participate this year,” Williams said.
