The public is invited to join library staff and professional recruiters for a Career Day program from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17 at the Santa Monica Public Library, 601 Santa Monica Blvd.
Those hoping to update and improve their resumes or seeking information on what employers
are looking for in an interview are encouraged to attend.
Career Day programs include hour-long classes on job hunting basics and getting the most out of the library’s online resources such as JobNow and Career Transitions. Professional recruiters from Elite Placement and UPS will provide one-on-one resume assistance, and senior staff will conduct mock interview sessions.
The program is free and open to the public. Registration for one-on-one resume review will start at 1:30 p.m. in the library’s computer classroom on the day of the event. No advance registration is required for other parts of the program.
