The Center for Healthy Aging will hold four sessions of free volunteer training from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Mondays, October 16th, 23rd and 30th and November 6th, at the Ken Edwards Center, 1527 Fourth St., Santa Monica.

Volunteer opportunities include friendly visiting, money management and health clinic assistance.

The training and ongoing supervision will enable participants to increase their knowledge and skills as a volunteer, become more effective, improve communication skills and enhance their understanding of aging.
