Silver Years of Dust, a collaboration of new dance works by choreographers Stacy Dawson Stearns and Tymberly Canale, will be presented at 8:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 9th and 10th, at Highways Performance Space, 1651 18th St., Santa Monica.
The event reunites Dawson Stearns and Canale, veteran collaborators who have a shared history as company members of New York-based Big Dance Theater, Highways Artistic Director Leo Garcia says.
Dawson Stearns will premiere her newest work “Magic Framework,” a piece in keeping with Stearns’ dedication to visual fantasy and visceral surrender, Garcia said. Performers include Dawson Stearns and dancers Jessica Emmanuel and Tim Cummings.
Canale will present two new works — “Snow (a study),” a dance theater duet performed by Canale and Israeli performer Neil Harris, and “Off the Wall,” a solo performed by Chris Giarmo.
Tickets are $20 general admission and $15 for members, students, and seniors.
