Terry O’Day, a candidate for Santa Monica City Council, announced Thursday, August 10th, a new endorsement from Bobby Kennedy Jr. and the launch of a campaign Web site.
O’Day is a Santa Monica planning commissioner and executive director of Environment Now.
He and Kennedy have worked together on several environmental issues and Kennedy is the president of the National Waterkeeper Alliance, which, among other things, oversees the work of groups such as the Santa Monica Baykeeper.
“I am proud to receive the endorsement of a figure of national importance like Bobby Kennedy Jr.,” O’Day said. “I have known him for many years through my work in the environment.”
O’Day’s Web site features information about his platform, his stance on Santa Monica issues and information about himself and the campaign.
The site also has a blog (Web log) with weekly updates. Other features include a campaign calendar for O’Day’s meet-and-greets, fundraisers, community events and projects.
Also included are videos and photos of the campaign and links to community resources, events calendars, traffic and weather conditions.
