WestchesterísÝFifth Annual Eggstravaganza is set for 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 7th, at Westchester Park, 7000 Manchester Ave.
Come hunt for 30,000 candy filled eggs! In addition, there will be live music, free hot dogs, fire engines, K-9 units, free ice cream, free family photos, moon bounces, free pony rides, petting zoo, games, fun booths, face decals and more.

SEPULVEDA CLEANUP ó Numerous local organizations will sponsor a Westchester Spring Community Clean Up Day from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 14th.
Westchester neighbors will beautify and clean up along Sepulveda Boulevard with the help of Loyola Marymount University students and members of the Clean & Green Conservation Corps.
Loyola Marymount University (LMU), Los Angeles City Councilman Bill Rosendahl, the Westchester Streetscape Improvement Association, the Neighborhood Council of Westchester/Playa del Rey, the Westchester Vitalization Corporation and the Westchester Family YMCA will participate.
Volunteers are encouraged to bring gloves, hats and enthusiasm. Volunteers will meet at the Westchester Family YMCA Annex at 8020 Alverstone Ave. (corner of Alverstone and 80th Street).

PUBLIC SCHOOL EXPO ó Itís time once again for the Public School Expo sponsored by the PTA and Westchester Playa del Rey Education Foundation.
The event will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 14th, in Westchester Park, 7000 Manchester Ave., and will include pony rides, moon bouncers and activities for kids as well as booths for each of the seven neighborhood public schools.
Families will have a chance to meet principals, see whatís offered, meet involved parents and see kids perform on stage. Admission is free, but there will be a small charge for some activities and food.
CONCERT FOR THE CANYON ó Cowan Avenue Elementary School will hold its ìFourth Annual Concert for the Canyon: A Benefit for Cowan Enrichmentî from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 29th, at the school, 7615 Cowan Ave. in Westchester.
The concert is a great outdoor family event with live music, a silent auction, a petting zoo, crafts, games, food and drinks and even free hula lessons. There will also be a raffle for a Hawaii trip.
Concert bands include The Summer of Love Show (costumed tribute to the late í60s), Imaginary Friends (pop, rock, R&B) and MC Elton (Elton John favorites).
The event benefits the schoolís enrichment programs, including its outdoor classroom, the CowaNatureCenter.
Adult admission is $5 in advance, $8 at the gate. Children 12 and under are free with an adult admission. Concert-goers are encouraged to bring their own blankets and chairs.
