The final environmental impact report (EIR) for Loyola Marymount University’s Master Plan is complete and has been released to the public. A hearing has been set for 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 28 at the Westchester Recreation Gym Center.

The university’s proposal would transform the face of the campus for an academic institution that has long been a part of the Westchester community.

The draft EIR was approved by the Neighborhood Council of Westchester-Playa in March and now the public will have the opportunity to air their opinions on the university’s campus overhaul in a public forum.

The EIR is also available for review at the Department of City Planning, 200 North Spring St., Room 750, Los Angeles, CA 90012 and the following locations:

n William H. Hannon Library, Loyola Marymount University, 1 LMU Drive, Westchester;

n Westchester/Loyola Village Library: 7114 W. Manchester Ave.;

n Playa Vista Branch Library: 6400 Playa Vista Drive, Playa Vista; and

n Mar Vista Library: 12006 Venice Blvd., Mar Vista.

The Westchester Recreation Gym is at 7000 W. Manchester Ave., Westchester.
