The Santa Monica chapter of the American Red Cross is scheduled to host a Los Angeles County Public Health free flu shot clinic Wednesday, November 14th.
Flu shots will be given from 9 a.m. to noon at the Santa Monica Red Cross, 1450 11th St., at Broadway, in Santa Monica.
People who are over 50 years old or have a chronic condition such as asthma, heart disease, kidney disorder or diabetes are eligible for the free flu shot.
People who have a child aged six through 59 months, or women who are pregnant, are also eligible for a flu shot.
Those who are allergic to eggs or have any serious illness, are encouraged to consult their doctor before receiving any flu shots.
The free flu shots are made possible through Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.
The American Red Cross of Santa Monica is a nonprofit corporation that provides health and safety education, youth services, CPR and first aid training, disaster awareness and disaster relief efforts.
