MAN OF GRACE by Al Walton is one of the works that will be on display at the Made in Mar Vista 2012 open studios event at Grand View Fine Art Studios Oct. 20-21.

Made in Mar Vista 2012, an open studios event showcasing works by local artists, will take place at the Grand View Fine Art Studios and an adjacent 5,000-square foot pop-up gallery in Mar Vista.
The two venues will be open to the public from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, and during the hours of the Mar Vista Farmers Market, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, at 3871 Grand View Blvd., Mar Vista.
Admission is free and refreshments will be offered.
Artists participating in Made in Mar Vista 2012 include Abbie Jane Baron, Virginia Sandler, Esther Pearlman, June Phelps, Toni Reinis, Portia Corlin, Ashley Wilson, Al Walton, Jackie Ryan, Terry Rosenberg, Ryan Gilden, Vanessa Chow, Lee Ann Goya, Darlyn Susan Yee, Joseph Fitzpatrick, Kathleen Kaller, Rashell George, Nicholas Malinowski, Jean Montanti and Ken Marsh.
Since 1999, Grand View Fine Art Studios has housed artists ranging from the fresh-out-of-school to those with decades of experience and success, working in a variety of visual media and styles.
Open studio events are held twice a year in the fall and spring. Visitors are encouraged to meet the artists where they produce work that is shown in private collections, galleries and museums.
In addition to the open studios events, visits to the complex can be arranged for groups by appointment.
