Grant Elementary School in Santa Monica is commemorating its 100th birthday with a Centennial Fiesta from 1 to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 20th, at the school, 2368 Pearl St. Admission is free.

The carnival features rides, games, rock climbing, and live entertainment.

A silent auction features bids on hotels, restaurants, camps, classes, jewelry, spa days, art, sports events, and cultural events.

Grant’s auditorium will be turned into a Living Museum and Reunion Gallery, with photographs of the school and Sunset Park over the past 100 years.

Old photos and stories for the Memory Hall Historical Presentations can be emailed to burnt isle@aol.com

A documentary film will be made using interviews with former school principals, parents, and students.
