The Grass Roots Venice Neighborhood Council Volunteer Election Committee registered 17 candidates and 72 stakeholders at the first outreach event for the 2005 Neighborhood Council election.
The 2005 Grass Roots council election is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, September 10th, and Sunday, September 11th at Venice High School, 13000 Venice Blvd., Mar Vista.
A candidate forum for the election is scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, September 7th, at Venice High School.
To register as a candidate or to register to cast a vote-by-mail ballot, individuals must appear in person at one of the three remaining outreach events for the September election.
The first election outreach event was held Monday, July 25th, at Westminster Elementary School.
6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, August 11th;
6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, August 18th; and
10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, August 21st
at Westminster Elementary School, 1010 Abbot Kinney Blvd., Venice.
NEED CREDENTIALS — Participants must bring valid credentials proving Venice stakeholder status.
