Airport Marina Counseling Service

Visitors will have the opportunity to tour five homes decorated for the fall in the Westchester/Playa del Rey area during the 27th Annual Holiday Home Tour, presented by the Westchester Mental Health Guild from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, November 1st.

Homes featured on the tour include a “haunted” Spanish colonial hilltop house built in 1931; a spectacular modern castle with sparkling views and artwork galore; one of the area’s newest “green” houses with the latest energy-saving features; and two bungalows with contrasting renovation styles, one charming and traditional, and the other sleek and ultra-modern.

The Holiday Home Tour is the guild’s largest fundraiser.—Net proceeds from this event support Airport Marina Counseling Service, which provides 15,000 hours of child, adult and family counseling services annually to people in the community.

Between 300 to 500 children, adults and families are treated weekly by the counseling service. The clinic has established outreach programs to local elementary and high schools, providing child therapy and preventive intervention.

Home Tour tickets are on sale at the Guilded Cage Gift Shop, 8917-B S. Sepulveda Blvd. in Westchester. Tickets are $25 in advance for general admission and $20 for seniors 65 and over. On-line purchase of tickets is available at http://wmhgholidayhometour.eventbrite.com/.

Day-of-event tickets are $30 and will be available at the Westchester YMCA annex, 8020 Alverstone Ave., Westchester. Children under 12 years old are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
