State Senator Jenny Oropeza and California Secretary of State Debra Bowen plan to meet community members during a 28th State Senate District town hall meeting in Westchester Tuesday, November 18th.
The meeting is scheduled from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Mary Lou Crockett Room at the Westchester-Loyola Village Branch Library, 7114 Manchester Ave., Westchester.
Among issues to be discussed at the meeting are the recent state election, an update on the state budget and local projects.
Oropeza also expects to review her 2008 legislation and look ahead to next year’s plans, as well as introduce her district office staff to the community.
Elected to the Assembly in 2000 and the Senate in 2006, Oropeza is one of the highest-ranking Latinos in the Legislature and she chairs the Senate Revenue and Taxation Committee.
