Kathryn J. Leddy, a former longtime Westchester resident and well-known community volunteer, died Thursday, April 19th, in Sedona, Arizona. She was 92.
Born in Rhinebeck, Iowa, Leddy and her husband, Cecil, first lived in Westchester on Hoxsey Street,which is now part of Parking Lot C at Los Angeles International Airport.
The Leddy family moved to the Kentwood area in 1947 and lived on Anise Avenue for many years.
After living in Westchester for 64 years, Kathryn Leddy moved to a retirement home in the Village of Oak Creek, near Sedona, in June 2006 to be near her daughter.
She worked for the Broadway department stores for 35 years.
Leddy was a longtime volunteer at the Guilded Cage in Westchester, a thrift store whose profits help to support the Westchester Mental Health Guild.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and Marv Lincoln, of Sedona, a son, Tim, of Denver, two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Interment was Friday, April 27th, at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City.
