During the past year, the Kentwood Players theater group in Westchester received funds from donors through its ongoing capital campaign to upgrade the Westchester Playhouse facility.

New air conditioning and men’s room amenities have already been installed at the playhouse, 8301 Hindry Ave., and plans for a new lobby are in the designing stages.

The Westchester Playhouse also received a new marquee July 31st, which was designed by Kentwood Players members Scot Renfro and Rocky and Victoria Miller. The marquee was created and installed by Sign-Tist.

As a way to honor the donors at the Founder’s Circle and Kentwood Angels levels, a special donors reception was held Saturday, August 2nd. The donors and the Kentwood Players board of directors attended a pre-show and intermission receptions for The Lion in Winter performance. Kentwood Players member Valerie Ruel organized the event.
