The Loyola Marymount University School of Film and Television received a gift that will establish The Cosgrove Family Distinguished Visiting Artist Endowment. An Endowed Scholarship Fund will also be established.

John Cosgrove, a television producer who has been nominated for six Emmy Awards, presented the gift to the university.

Cosgrove produced the television series Unsolved Mysteries and television movies such as Yesterday’s Children, The Happy Face Murders, Guilty Until Proven Innocent, and The Inheritance.

As an acknowledgement for the leadership gift, the university dedicated a campus garden as the Cosgrove Family Garden.

The artist endowment will support the work of a screenwriter whose stories involve humanism, innovation, and diversity.

The endowed scholarships will be awarded to students who show creative and academic achievement in film, television, animation, recording arts, or screenwriting.
