Local residents can help less fortunate children this holiday season by taking part in a regional toy drive.

Community members can donate new unwrapped toys at fire stations throughout the local area for toy drives this holiday season.

“I ask that residents do what they can to help ensure the less fortunate have a bright holiday season,” said State Senator Jenny Oropeza about the toy drive effort of local fire departments. “This helps build stronger ties with our families, friends and neighbors.”

Groups benefiting from the toy drives include the Kenny Nickelson Foundation, Harbor Child Crisis Center, 1736 House, the Good Shepherd Center, the Jeffrey Foundation, the Richstone Center, Imperial Street School, Del Aire Park, Cheer for Children, Residents of Torrance and Spark of Love.
