Manhunt Follows Culver City Bank Heist
Residents were locked out of homes, businesses were evacuated and schools went on lockdown last Thursday morning in Culver City after as many as four armed men robbed the One West Bank near Jefferson Boulevard and Overland Avenue.
Shots fired inside the bank broke a window, but no injuries were reported.
Culver City Police, FBI agents and Santa Monica police — many of them in full tactical gear and others operating an armored tank — shut down several city blocks for hours to conduct door-to-door searches.
Police detained one suspect in a nearby neighborhood and another at the nearby TJ Maxx.
