The Mar Vista Woman’s Club has installed new officers for the 2005-2006 year. New officers are:

– Mary Wilcox, president;

– Chris Szcesniak, first vice president;

– Pat Sampson, second vice president;

– Carol DeSalvo, third vice president;

– Phyllis Shield, treasurer;

– Jeanne Gilbreth, auditor;

– Erma Lesch, parliamentarian;

– Helen Meininger, historian;

– Mary O’Neil, installer;

– Dolores Schulz, recording secretary;

– Jane Bright, corresponding secretary;

– Etta Alexander, dean of chairs;

– Myrle DuPuis, amenities chair;

– Mary Keser, co-reservations and registration chair; and

– Irene Upchurch, co-reservations and registration chair.

The club has recently given $5,000 for Venice High School scholarships, $3,700 for Meals on Wheels, $520 for the March of Dimes, $500 for hospitalized women veterans, $240 for Heifer International, $200 for breast cancer research and $100 for the Penny Pines Reforestation Program.
