Former First Lady Nancy Reagan was at the grand opening of The Colleague Gallery Sunday, November 12th.

The Colleague Gallery is a resale shop of designer and vintage clothing, jewelry, fashion accessories and household items which benefits the Children’s Institute, Inc. and other programs of The Colleagues for the benefit of children.

Reagan was the honored guest and official ribbon cutter to inaugurate the new store, at 3312 Pico Blvd., Santa Monica.

The private function and cocktail reception also saluted Connie Wald, a longtime colleague and wife of the late film producer Jerry Wald, for her induction to the International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame.

Santa Monica Mayor Bob Holbrook was also in attendance.

“The Colleagues have long been recognized in the Los Angeles area for supporting the Children’s Institute, Inc. and for other work they do in the community to better the lives of children and families caught in the destructive patterns of abuse and violence,” said a spokeswoman for The Colleagues.

This new location will allow The Colleagues to continue their work of selling designer and vintage clothes, accessories, jewelry and gifts, with all of the proceeds going to the Children’s Institute, Inc.
