The Hollywood writers strike is over, and the 80th annual Academy Awards ceremony will go on in its traditional star-studded fashion starting at 5 p.m. Sunday, February 24th, on KABC, with host Jon Stewart.

Some local bars are planning to tune in while blending specials with their normal entertainment schedules.
