Los Angeles Airport (LAX) Police had ten officers who participated in this year’s Police Unity Tour 2006.
The tour consisted of more than 400 law enforcement officers from around the U.S. riding bicycles 300 miles from Florham, New Jersey, to Washington, D.C to honor officers killed in the line of duty in 2005.
The ride took place over four days from Wednesday, May 10th, to Saturday, May 13th.
LAX Airport Police rode to honor officer Tommy Scott, the first officer from the department killed in the line of duty.
Scott died last year on April 29th, from injuries sustained while trying to stop a suspect from driving away with his police patrol car.
