The California Coastal Commission is scheduled to consider preferential parking restrictions near Santa Monica High School at its meeting in Oceanside Thursday, February 7th.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. in the City of Oceanside council chambers, 300 North Coast Highway.
The Santa Monica City Council approved the preferential parking restrictions at its September 11th meeting.
The proposed parking restrictions are generally “two-hour parking between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, except by permit.” At other times, only permit-holders can park.
The restrictions are for the area bounded by Lincoln, Pico and Ocean Park Boulevards and Fourth Street, adjacent to residential properties only.
The item has been scheduled for a public hearing and vote. People who wish to testify on this matter may appear at the hearing or present their concerns by letter to the commission on or before the hearing date.
