The city of Santa Monica is seeking proposals from design professionals for a comprehensive and coordinated “wayfinding and regulatory signage plan” for Santa Monica’s beaches and park system.
A recent study of visitors to Santa Monica by the Convention & Visitor’s Bureau identified the need for improved signage, at the beach in particular.
A consistent system of signs will improve the city’s parks and beachgoers’ experiences, as well as provide a cohesive identity for the city’s open space resources, according to a bureau spokesman.
Proposals will be accepted until 5 p.m. Thursday, October 23rd. The RFP (request for proposals), is available at smgov.net/ccs/projects/ or Community and Cultural Services, (310) 458-8310.
