The Santa Monica City Council is seeking input from the community on the topic of possible legislation to address the problem of second-hand smoke exposure by residents in multifamily buildings.

The City Attorney’s Consumer Protection Unit has scheduled a public meeting to discuss these issues at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 29th, at the Santa Monica Main Library Martin Luther King, Jr. Auditorium, at Sixth Street and Santa Monica Boulevard in Santa Monica.

Community members who wish to share their questions, concerns, suggestions and other ideas before the meeting may send them to Paula Rockenstein, City Attorney’s Office, 1685 Main St., Santa Monica 90401, or paula.rockenstein@smgov.net.
