The annual Santa Monica International Film Festival will screen 18 films, including the romantic comedy “Kissing Strangers,” this year’s feature presentation, at the Aero Theater, 1328 Montana Ave., Saturday, Aug. 7.

A jury consisting of entertainment industry professionals hand-picked the films and filmmakers to be showcased at this year’s event. The festival’s feature presentation, “Kissing Strangers,” is directed by Santa Monica filmmaker David Katz.
In addition to screenings and premieres, the independent film festival will include the LGO Filmmaker Networking Breakfast sponsored by La Grande Orange; a question and answer session with filmmakers; and a VIP after-party at the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel.
The festival is presented by Lilly Lawrence with additional sponsorship by Fatburger, Stella Artois, the Los Angeles County Arts Commission, and Clear Channel Outdoor.
Pre-registration for a free all-screening pass will be available
online until Aug. 5th. An all event pass is $25, while an all screening pass is $10. Visitors are encouraged to buy tickets in advance.
