A grand opening for two new medical care facilities at St. John’s Medical Plaza in Santa Monica took place Thursday, February 25th.
Tower Wound Care Center of Santa Monica and Tower Surgical Center celebrated the opening of its new state-of-the-art facilities during a ribbon-cutting ceremony with physicians, staff and community leaders, including Santa Monica City Councilwoman Gleam Davis.
“As a Santa Monica City Council member, I am pleased to formally welcome the Tower Surgical Center and the Tower Wound Care Center of Santa Monica,” Davis said.
“The availability of wound care and outpatient surgical procedures will certainly enhance the options available to the citizens of Santa Monica and the entire Southern California population, as health care providers are
given an additional innovative facility to respond to the health care needs of our entire community.”
Dr. Joel A. Aronowitz, medical director for Tower Wound Care Center, said, “We are pleased to be able to offer the community this vitally important medical resource so patients and their primary care physicians have access to a specialty wound healing center.”
Davis said Aronowitz was the driving force behind the new medical centers.
“As founder of the Breast Preservation Foundation, Dr.
Aronowitz is a leader in women’s health education and the promotion of healthy educational choices for women, issues that are very important to all of us,” the councilwoman said.
The Tower Surgical Center facilities include four modern exam rooms, treatment facilities, therapy system for wound care patients, adult stem cell treatment capabilities, two surgical suites and a recovery area with four beds.
