Several shots were fired in the 2400 block of Virginia Avenue, behind Edison Elementary School in Santa Monica, at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 28th, according to the Santa Monica Police Department.

A 16-year-old boy suffered an injury and was treated by paramedics responding to the scene. The injured boy suffered a laceration to his face and told police he was injured when he ran to safety.

No one else was injured.

Santa Monica police are searching for what they describe as two male Hispanic suspects.

One of the suspects is described as being in his 20s, with a thin build.

The suspects’ vehicle is described as a dark gray compact car.

A town hall meeting discussing the shooting, was held Monday, October 4th, at Edison Elementary School.
