Santa Monica police are looking for suspects who allegedly fired at a parked vehicle on 19th Street in the Pico Neighborhood Tuesday, October 23rd.
Police were called to the 1900 block of 19th Street at 8:05 p.m. regarding shots fired in the area.
When officers arrived they contacted the victims, who said that they were sitting in their parked vehicle on 19th Street when another vehicle drove up alongside them, Santa Monica police Lt. Alex Padilla said.
The occupants inside the other vehicle then allegedly pointed a handgun at the victims’ vehicle and fired several shots, Padilla said.
Several bullets struck the victims’ vehicle but no one was injured, he said.
The suspects’ vehicle then drove away southbound on 19th Street towards Pico Boulevard. It is unknown what type of handgun was used in the shooting.
Police say the only description of the suspects is that they were two men. The suspects’ vehicle is described as a gold-colored four-door vehicle.
