The Santa Monica Emblem Club presented college scholarship funds to six Santa Monica High School seniors Wednesday, May 26th.

Past exalted rulers of the Santa Monica Elks also participated.

The students all had grade point averages of at least 3.5 and had contributed many hours of community service, including working with Heal the Bay, Community Art Center, Santa Monica Hospital, National Youth Advisory Council, UCLA Ocean Discovery Center, and underprivileged children.

The students and the colleges they plan to attend are:

n Maud Arnold, Columbia University;

n Emily Brundige, University of California at Berkeley;

n Lynna Jirpongopas, University of California at San Diego;

n Ivy Kuperberg, Rice University;

n Devora Kaye, Vanderbilt University; and

n Erin Rowan, University of California at Berkeley.
