Six people were treated for non-life threatening injuries following a multi-vehicle accident on the Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica Wednesday, March 25th, fire officials said.

Santa Monica firefighters were called at about 9:22 p.m. to 835 Pacific Coast Highway, where an accident involving three vehicles was reported, Santa Monica fire spokesman Captain Brad Graham said.

Firefighters used the ìjaws of lifeî and other specialized equipment to free and remove an occupant who was trapped in one of the vehicles, Graham said.

Four people who sustained injuries in the crash were transported to local hospitals for treatment. Two people were treated by paramedics at the scene and released.

The accident scene was cleared at approximately 10:10 p.m. and the cause of the crash was under investigation.
