The Panthers girls basketball team at St. Anastasia School in Westchester capped off an undefeated season with a 33-14 victory over American Martyrs school to win the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) Championship at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles.

The Panthers were led by center Lindsey Smith, who finished with eight points, 12 rebounds and five blocks. Guard Alex Alcala made three three-pointers for a total of 12 in the tournament, power forward Michaela McDermott grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds and Kathleen Harris scored ten points in the championship.

Kaylee Hage contributed five points and Maddie Sharpe came off the bench to sink a long three-pointer in the victory. The Panthers finished the season with an overall record of 27-0 and were the number one team of 145 CYO teams.
