Robbit, an animated short film made by Yukio Okuno when he was a Santa Monica College student, was named runner-up in the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles 2006 Student Film Awards.

Six films won awards in the competition, and the other winners were by students at USC, American Film Institute and Los Angeles Film School.

The awards were presented for films made in 2005. Okuno made Robbit in spring 2005 when he was a student at the Santa Monica College Academy of Entertainment & Technology. Robbit is an animated love story that runs just under three minutes.

Okuno, 41, of Los Angeles, is originally from Osaka, Japan, where he had a career as a video producer.

Currently studying computers at a private school in Los Angeles, Okuno plans on going into 3-D animation.
