The 33rd Annual Marina del Rey Boat Show scheduled Thursday through Sunday, June 12th to 15th, offers boat enthusiasts a large selection of new and brokerage boats of all types and sizes at Burton Chace Park, 13650 Mindanao Way, Marina del Rey.

The boat show begins the summer boating season and will feature more than 150 boats displayed in the water — ranging up to a 94-foot megayacht — on more than 2,000 feet of floating dock, says event spokesman Don Franken.

On land, show-goers will find displays of smaller boats, trailerable boats and inflatables, ranging from ten to 26 feet, accompanied by an extensive assortment of marine accessory and service booths.

Many of the vessels will be making their boat show debuts in Southern California, including luxurious megayachts, sportboats and other pleasurecraft, and there will be something for “every dream, every taste and every wallet,” Franken said.

Among early confirmations for the show is Bayport Yachts, the largest Carver and Marquis dealer in the West, displaying new 2008 models including the Marquis 55 LS Edition and Marquis 50 LS.

Randall Burg Yacht and Ship of Marina del Rey will exhibit a 94-foot custom long-range sportfisher from Harbor Boat Co., priced at just under $3 million and designed by Ed Monk.

Altair Yachts, the exclusive California dealer for Hampton Yachts, will introduce the new 2008 Hampton 630 Pilothouse motoryacht with a top speed of approximately 23 knots.

Other dealers include: Sailboats Inc. of Marina del Rey; The Yacht Exchange of Marina del Rey; California Coast Yachts; Golden West Yachts; H&S Yachts; Olympic Boats; Wasatch Marine; Cranchi California; Horizon Yachts; Heritage Yacht Sales; and California Chris-Craft, Franken said.

Show hours (rain or shine) are: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 12th; 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, June 13th; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, June 14th; and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, June 15th.

Admission is $10 for adults; children age 12 and younger are admitted free with a paid adult admission.

The Marina del Rey Boat Show is managed by the Duncan McIntosh Co., Inc., which has produced the Newport Boat Show and the Lido Yacht Expo for more than three decades.
