ATTEMPTED GRAND THEFT;
PETTY THEFT, VANDALISM
Someone attempted to steal a bicycle valued at $900 from a porch in the 14000 block of Tahiti Way between 6 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 11th, and in the process stole foot pegs valued at $100 and caused $150 damage to the bicycle brake line.
A portable safe and $800 were taken from one boat and $800 from a second boat in the 13700 block of Fiji Way between 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 30th, and 5 a.m. Saturday, July 2nd.
The following items were taken in Marina del Rey grand thefts:
a bicycle valued at $800, a second bicycle valued at $600 and a cable lock valued at $20 in the 4300 block of Marina City Drive between 9 a.m. Tuesday, June 14th, and 2:30 p.m. Friday, June 17th;
a camcorder valued at $4,000 and a camera bag valued at $250 in the 4300 block of Admiralty Way between 8 and 9 p.m. Saturday, June 18th; and
clothing, a clothes hamper, and towels valued at $545 in the 4100 block of Admiralty Way Friday, May 6th.

The following items were taken in Marina del Rey grand thefts involving boats:
an inflatable dinghy valued at $2,500 and an outboard motor valued at $1,800 in the 13900 block of Panay Way between 10:30 p.m. Sunday, June 19th; and 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 22nd;
an outboard motor valued at $1,500 from a slip in A Basin between 5 p.m. Sunday, May 27th, and 11 a.m. Sunday, June 12th; and
an outboard motor valued at $1,800 from a slip in F Basin between April 11th and June 11th.
The following items were taken in Marina del Rey petty thefts:
clothing valued at $202.78 in the 14000 block of Tahiti Way between May 4th and 23rd;
an oxygen and acetylene gas welding rig valued at $200 from a vehicle in the 14100 block of Northwest Passage the night of Wednesday, June 15th; and
a bicycle valued at $100 from a boat slip in C Basin between 9:30 a.m. and noon Sunday, June 12th.
A pen set valued at $1,000; a humidor for storing cigars valued at $600; and U.S. passports valued at $180 were taken in the 14000 block of Tahiti Way between 2:30 p.m. Monday, June 27th, and 10:30 p.m. Friday, July 1st.
A woman was waiting for an elevator in a parking garage in the 13800 block of Bora Bora Way at 8:05 p.m. Friday, June 10th, when she was approached by a man who grabbed her, causing her to fall to the ground and onto her back. The robber produced a handgun, pointed it at her face and demanded her purse. Taken were a purse and a wallet valued at $325.
A 2002 Cadillac Escalade was reported taken in the 14000 block of Panay Way between 7 and 9:40 p.m. Friday, June 10th.
The following items were taken in Marina del Rey burglaries involving vehicles:
a wallet valued at $40, a driver’s license valued at $15 and $20 in the 4400 block of Admiralty Way between 1:30 and 3 p.m. Friday, June 24th; and
a backpack containing the victim’s driver’s license, credit cards and other items valued at $20 was taken in the 14000 block of Panay Way between 10 a.m. and noon Saturday, June 4th.
After a woman had parked her vehicle in the 13900 block of Tahiti Way at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 21st, a man approached her and wanted to make conversation. The woman walked off and boarded her boat. While on the boat, she saw the man enter her vehicle. He shut the vehicle door and walked off. The woman later discovered $200 missing.
