ARSON

Someone set toilet paper and a toilet paper holder on fire in a restroom in the Burton Chace Park Community Building, 13650 Mindanao Way, at 2:35 p.m. Monday, May 31st. The fire had already been extinguished when a park employee entered the restroom. Damage was estimated at $15.75.

ATTEMPTED GRAND THEFT

Someone tried to steal a motorcycle in the 14000 block of Northwest Passage between 7:50 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. Thursday, June 10th. Damage to a wheel lock was $90.

BURGLARY

The following items were taken in Marina del Rey burglaries:

an eel skin briefcase valued at $100 in the 4100 block of Via Marina between 4 p.m. Sunday, June 6th, and 7 a.m. Monday, June 7th;

a purse valued at $40 from a vehicle in the 13500 block of Mindanao Way between 7:45 and 9 a.m. Friday, June 4th; and

a wallet and currency valued at $37 from a vehicle in the 4300 block of Admiralty Way between 3:15 and 6:25 p.m. Tuesday, June 8th.

GRAND THEFT

The following items were taken in Marina del Rey grand thefts:

a ring valued at $800, a necklace valued at $3,000 and a bracelet valued at $2,500 in the 13906 Fiji Way between Saturday, May 29th, and Wednesday, June 16th; and

a purse and contents valued at $290 in the 4300 block of Admiralty Way at 12:20 p.m. Friday, June 18th.

IDENTITY THEFT

Someone used the identity of a Northwest Passage resident, opened a credit card account in the resident’s name without permission and charged $172 on the account.

PETTY THEFT

The following items were taken in Marina del Rey petty thefts:

a Federal Express package containing an Apple I Sight Internet camera microphone valued at $200 in the 13800 block of Bora Bora Way between 10:42 am. and 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 22nd; and

a county lifeguard identification card valued at $20 in the 4400 block of Via Marina between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday, May 31st.

STOLEN VEHICLE

A 2002 Honda motorcycle was reported stolen in the 4200 block of Via Marina between May 22nd and June 6th.

VANDALISM

Scratch marks were found on the left fender and the left door and two panels of a vehicle in the 4200 block of Via Marina between midnight and 7 a.m. Sunday, June 20th. Damage was estimated at $100.

A driver’s side vehicle window was shattered in the 13800 block of Bora Bora Way between 6:15 p.m. Monday, May 31st, and noon Tuesday, June 2nd. Damage was estimated at $400.

Graffiti was marked on the door of a building in the 14000 block of Captains Row Drive between 7:40 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 19th. Damage was estimated at $100.
