ALLEGEDLY PUNCHED WOMAN IN EAR IN ALLEY
A woman in the 1400 block of Court One alleged to police at 6:25 p.m. Thursday, August 28th, that she was walking down the alley when a suspect punched her in the ear for an unknown reason.
Officers located the suspect in the area and he was identified by the woman.
The suspect was arrested and booked for assault and battery.
ARRESTED FOR KICKING OUT WINDOW OF STORE
Police were called to a store in the 1300 block of Fifth Street at 2:30 a.m. Saturday, August 30th, regarding a report of vandalism.
A woman alleged to police that she saw two female suspects, who appeared to be intoxicated, kick out the front window of the business. Officers located the two suspects in the area and one of them had a flesh wound to the leg.
The suspects were arrested and booked for felony vandalism and public intoxication.
BOOKED FOR STEALING ALCOHOL FROM MARKET
Employees at a market in the 1600 block of Ocean Park Boulevard alleged to police at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 30th, that a suspect took a bottle of alcohol valued at $21.99 and left without paying.
The employees followed the suspect to a back yard in the 2400 block of Cloverfield Boulevard and detained him until police arrived.
Police arrested the suspect and booked him for petty theft and vandalism and for having two outstanding warrants.
ALLEGEDLY SLEPT IN BED WHILE TENANTS AWAY
Police were called to an apartment building in the 1400 block of Ocean Avenue at 1 a.m. Saturday, August 30th, regarding a report of suspicious activity.
An apartment manager told police that a female suspect was inside an apartment while the tenants were out of town.
When officers checked the interior of the apartment, they found the suspect lying under the sheets on a bed inside the bedroom. Police contacted the tenants, who said they had not given permission for anyone to stay in the apartment.
The suspect was arrested and booked for burglary.
MAN ALLEGEDLY SPAT ON
OFFICER OVER CITATION
A traffic services officer in the 3000 block of Main Street told police at 11:56 p.m. Sunday, August 31st, that a suspect allegedly spat on him after he issued the suspect a parking citation.
The suspect then attempted to drive away but the traffic officer followed him until police arrived.
Police arrested the suspect and booked him for battery on a traffic services officer.
BOOKED FOR EXHIBITING KNIFE TO WOMAN ON PIER
A woman on the Santa Monica Pier alleged to police at 10:15 a.m. Monday, September 1st, that a suspect approached her in an aggressive manner while carrying a knife in his hand.
Police located the suspect in the area and detained him.
The suspect was arrested and booked for exhibiting a deadly weapon and probation violation.
MAN IN FIGHT ALLEGEDLY ASSAULTED PASSERBY
Police were called to the 900 block of Court Four at 7:27 p.m. Monday, September 1st, where a fight was reported.
A man told officers that he walked out of his apartment while two suspects were fighting in the alley and one of the suspects allegedly punched him for no reason. The man held the suspect down until police arrived.
Police arrested the suspect and booked him for assault and battery.
ARRESTED FOR STABBING MAN FOR CUTTING IN
A man at a supermarket in the 2600 block of Lincoln Boulevard told police at 9:25 a.m. Tuesday, September 2nd, that he had a dispute with a suspect who thought he cut in front of him in line.
Once the man was outside of the supermarket, the suspect allegedly stabbed him in the back. The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he was treated for a non-life-threatening injury.
Police located the suspect in the area, arrested him and booked him for assault with a deadly weapon and for having an outstanding warrant.

HAND CARTS WITH FOOD
Police were called to a supermarket in the 700 block of Broadway at 10:45 p.m. Tuesday, September 2nd, where two suspects were being detained by employees.
The employees alleged that the suspects stole two handcarts containing miscellaneous food items valued at $89.11.
Police arrested the suspects and booked them for conspiracy to commit a crime and burglary.
BOOKED FOR ASSAULTING RESTAURANT EMPLOYEE
Police were called at 4:25 a.m. Wednesday, September 3rd, to a restaurant in the 1600 block of Lincoln Boulevard, where a fight was reported between two customers and an employee.
The employee alleged that the customers punched and kicked him after he asked them to leave for causing a disturbance.
Police located the two suspects in the area, arrested them and booked them for felony battery.
