MAN ALLEGEDLY KEYED BROTHER’S VEHICLE
A man in the 800 block of Franklin Street alleged to police at 10:50 a.m. Thursday, August 21st, that his brother had keyed his car.
While officers were inspecting the damaged vehicle, the man’s brother approached the officers in an aggressive manner and refused to follow their orders. After the suspect continued to challenge the officers, they used a Taser gun to detain him.
The suspect was arrested and booked for felony vandalism.
ARRESTED FOR STEALING CLOTHING FROM STORE
Police were called at 5:18 p.m. Thursday, August 21st, to a store in the 300 block of Colorado Avenue, where a theft suspect was in custody.
Loss prevention agents alleged to police that the suspect had entered the store, took clothing items without looking at the prices or sizes, concealed the items and left without paying. The clothes were valued at $45.
Loss prevention agents detained the suspect outside the store and released him to police, who arrested the suspect and booked him for commercial burglary.
ALLEGEDLY POSSESSED STOLEN BIKES AT MARKET
Police were called at 7:53 a.m. Saturday, August 23rd, to a mini-mart in the 300 block of Pico Boulevard, regarding a report of two suspicious men attempting to sell bicycles.
When officers arrived they spoke to the suspects and determined that they were allegedly in possession of stolen bicycles. One of the suspects was also allegedly in possession of a controlled substance.
The two suspects were arrested and booked for possession of stolen property and petty theft, and one was also booked for possession of a controlled substance.

HUMAN WASTE IN STORE
Police were called at 6:40 a.m. Sunday, August 17th, to a coffee shop in the 1300 block of the Third Street Promenade, where employees told them that they had had a dispute with a suspect over use of the restroom. After the suspect was told he could not use the restroom, he allegedly dropped his pants and defecated in the middle of the store.
When the suspect was asked by employees to stop, he allegedly attempted to chase after them and threw human waste at them.
The suspect was detained by police outside the store and taken to a local hospital for a medical evaluation. He was expected to be booked for vandalism.
THREE ARRESTED IN
TAMPERING OF VEHICLE
Police on patrol in the 300 block of Pico Boulevard were called at 12:40 a.m. Tuesday, August 26th, regarding a report of suspects tampering with a vehicle near Ocean Avenue and Bay Street.
A witness told officers that the suspects had left the area in a silver SUV. Police located the vehicle leaving a mini-mart parking lot in the 300 block of Pico Boulevard and stopped the vehicle.
Officers found burglary tools and stolen food from the mini-mart in the vehicle and arrested the three suspects.
One suspect was booked for attempted auto burglary and probation violation, the second suspect was booked for auto tampering and possession of burglary tools, and the third suspect was booked for driving without a license.
SUSPECTS BOOKED FOR FIGHTING CAB DRIVERS
Police were called to the 300 block of Santa Monica Boulevard at 1:51 a.m. Wednesday, August 27th, where a fight was reported.
When officers arrived at the scene, they learned that four suspects had allegedly fought with three taxi drivers and damaged a taxi cab.
Police located three of the suspects and arrested them, but a fourth suspect was not apprehended.
The three suspects were booked for vandalism and battery. The fourth suspect is described as a white man, 20 to 25 years old, with a bald head and wearing a white T-shirt and dark jeans.
