ALLEGEDLY TRIED TO STEAL ALCOHOL BOTTLES

Police were called to a supermarket in the 2600 block of Lincoln Boulevard at 12:30 p.m. Friday, September 19th, regarding a theft investigation.

While police were en route, a caller told them that a suspect had left the supermarket and fled in a vehicle. Store security guards alleged to police that the suspect stole three bottles of alcohol and when he was confronted, he dropped the bottles and fled.

Police located the vehicle in the area and detained the suspect. Two of the alcohol bottles were valued at $25.99 each and a third bottle was valued at $26.99.

The suspect was arrested and booked for petty theft, conspiracy to commit a crime and probation violation.

ARRESTED FOR BURGLARY

When officers were driving in an unmarked police vehicle in the 100 block of Wadsworth Avenue at 12:51 p.m. Friday, September 19th, they saw a suspect climbing down from a side-yard wall.

Police contacted the suspect and determined that he did not live in the area. After searching the suspect, police found that he was allegedly in possession of burglary tools and possible stolen items.

The suspect was arrested and booked for burglary, possession of burglary tools and probation violation.

ALLEGEDLY HIT MAN ON HEAD WITH SKATEBOARD

A man in the 500 block of Olympic Boulevard alleged to police at 12:27 a.m. Monday, September 22nd, that a suspect hit him in the head with a skateboard and fled.

The man received a cut to the back of his head. A witness confirmed the man’s statements and police located the suspect in the area.

The suspect was arrested and booked for assault with a deadly weapon.

ALLEGEDLY HIT OFFICER WHO TOOK HER BOTTLE

When police were on patrol in the 2100 block of Pico Boulevard at 10:55 a.m. Monday, September 22nd, they saw a woman they knew to be an alleged chronic inebriate.

Police approached the woman and determined she was intoxicated. When an officer tried to take a beer from the woman, she allegedly pushed him.

Police then grabbed the suspect and placed her under arrest, but she allegedly resisted. After a brief struggle, officers booked the suspect for battery on a police officer, possession of an open container, resisting arrest, public intoxication and probation violation.

BOOKED FOR STEALING ELECTRONICS AT STORE

Loss prevention agents at a store in the 1200 block of Fourth Street alleged to police at 4 p.m. Monday, September 22nd, that a suspect entered the store, concealed video games and DVDs and attempted to leave the store.

The agents detained the suspect outside until the arrival of police, who determined that he was in possession of the items and burglary tools. The electronics were valued at $300.

The suspect was arrested and booked for commercial burglary and parole violation.

ARRESTED FOR STEALING JEWELRY, ACCESSORIES

Police were called to a store in the 1400 block of the Third Street Promenade at 4:10 p.m. Monday, September 22nd, where loss prevention agents had detained a theft suspect.

The agents alleged to police that the suspect took jewelry and accessory items valued at $82.70, placed them in her purse and left without paying.

The suspect was detained outside, arrested and booked for petty theft.
