ALLEGEDLY HAD DRUGS, FAKE MONEY INSIDE CAR
An officer was on patrol in the 100 block of Washington Avenue at 11:35 p.m. Wednesday, October 22nd, when he stopped a vehicle with a nonfunctioning brake light.
After contacting the driver, the officer learned that she was driving without a license. A male passenger then allegedly ran from the vehicle when he learned he was going to be searched for weapons.
As the officer chased the male suspect and detained him, the driver allegedly concealed some of the passenger’s contraband. The officer then searched the vehicle and reported finding methamphetamines, drug paraphernalia and counterfeit money.
The two suspects were arrested and booked for conspiracy to commit a crime, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance. The driver was also booked for forgery.
ALLEGEDLY THREATENED MAN WITH AN ICE PICK
A man in the area of 11th Street and Arizona Avenue alleged to police at 2:15 p.m. Saturday, October 25th, that a suspect pulled out an ice pick, threatened to kill him for no reason and fled.
The man, who did not know the suspect, followed the suspect on his bicycle until police arrived.
The suspect, who was detained by police two blocks away, was arrested and booked for assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon, making criminal threats and probation violation.
ARRESTED FOR PULLING KNIFE, BEATING WOMAN
Police were called at 10 p.m. Saturday, October 25th, to Venice Boulevard and Bronson Avenue in Los Angeles, where an assault suspect was reportedly located.
The suspect was accused of beating and threatening his girlfriend with a knife in the 500 block of Raymond Avenue in Santa Monica September 3rd.
Police arrested the suspect and booked him for assault with a deadly weapon, making criminal threats and domestic violence.
BOOKED FOR BREAKING WINDOW OF MOTEL ROOM
Police were called at 8:44 a.m. Sunday, October 26th, to a motel in the 1200 block of Lincoln Boulevard where a motel clerk alleged that a guest had punched out a motel room window. Police contacted the guest inside the room, determined that he was intoxicated and detained him. The damage to the room was estimated at over $400.
As police were escorting the suspect to the patrol car, he allegedly attempted to kick an officer.
The suspect was arrested and booked for felony vandalism, assault on a police officer and for having an outstanding warrant.
CYCLIST ARRESTED FOR BURGLARY IN ALLEY
An officer was on patrol in the 800 block of Court One near Ocean Avenue at 8:50 p.m. Monday, October 27th, when he saw a bicyclist who was riding at night without a light, in violation of municipal code.
The cyclist, who rode into an alley and began looking into carports, was stopped by the officer for the violation. The officer determined that the suspect provided a false name, was in possession of bolt cutters and a possible stolen bike, and appeared to be casing the carports to commit a burglary.
The suspect was arrested and booked for possession of stolen property, burglary, providing false information, probation violation and for having two outstanding warrants.
ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT OF WOMAN ON SIDEWALK
Police were called to the 400 block of Arizona Avenue at 2:18 p.m. Tuesday, October 28th, where a woman alleged to police that she was walking on the sidewalk when a suspect punched her in the head for an unknown reason.
The woman did not know the suspect but gave a description to police, who located him a block away.
The suspect, who was identified by the woman, was arrested and booked for assault and battery.
