ARRESTED FOR STEALING FRAGRANCE BOTTLES
A loss prevention officer at a store in the 1300 block of the Third Street Promenade alleged to police at 1:15 p.m. Friday, June 27th, that a suspect entered the store, concealed some fragrance bottles and left without paying.
The items were valued at $267.
Loss prevention officers viewed the incident on video surveillance and detained the suspect outside the store.
Police arrested and booked the suspect for petty theft.
BOOKED FOR STEALING FOOD, ALCOHOL AT STORE
A loss prevention officer at a store in the 1300 block of Wilshire Boulevard alleged to police at 3:40 p.m. Friday, June 27th, that a suspect entered the store and attempted to steal food items valued at $10.06.
The suspect had allegedly stolen alcohol from the store on a previous occasion.
Police arrested the suspect and booked him for commercial burglary and probation violation.
ARRESTED FOR STEALING BOTTLES OF ALCOHOL
Police were called at 4:15 p.m. Saturday, June 28th, to a supermarket in the 700 block of Broadway, where a theft suspect was being detained.
A store security guard alleged that the suspect entered the store, took two bottles of alcohol valued at $13.66 and left without paying.
The security guard detained the suspect outside the store and released him to police, who arrested and booked the suspect for burglary, a prior petty theft, probation violation and having an outstanding warrant.
ALLEGEDLY STOLE PURSE OF PATRON AT STORE
Employees at a shoe store in the 1400 block of the Third Street Promenade alleged to police at 7:05 p.m. Saturday, June 28th, that a woman had stolen a patron’s purse from the store.
One employee had found the purse after the patron left it behind and then gave it to another woman who claimed to know the owner.
When the true owner returned to retrieve the purse, the employee told her that another woman had left with it. The boyfriend of the purse owner located the suspect in the area and called police.
The purse had about $200 worth of items inside.
The suspect was arrested and booked for petty theft.
WOMAN ALLEGEDLY HIT, BIT MAN DURING FIGHT
Police were called at 9:20 p.m. Monday, June 30th, to the 600 block of Wilshire Boulevard, where a fight was reported outside a mini-mart.
When officers arrived, they spoke to witnesses who said that a fight began after a man and a woman exchanged derogatory words. During the fight, the woman allegedly hit the man and bit him on the hand.
Police arrested the suspect and booked her for felony battery.
BOOKED FOR ASSAULT,
Police were en route to a call at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 2nd, when they located a man who matched the description of a suspect in a fight in the area.
The suspect had earlier shared a taxi with another man, whom he allegedly punched and kicked several times.
The suspect later approached a pedestrian in the area and attempted to rob him.
Police arrested the suspect and booked him for attempted robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.
