WOMAN ALLEGEDLY HIT OTHER WOMAN IN FACE

Police were called to the 1500 block of the Santa Monica beach at 7:40 a.m. Thursday, July 20th, where a woman told officers that she saw her friend and a female suspect arguing and when the woman told the suspect to leave her friend alone, the suspect allegedly struck the woman in the face several times with her fist.

Police were notified and arrested the suspect, who was booked in Santa Monica Jail for assault and battery.

ACCUSED OF STEALING MOVIES FROM STORE

Police were called to a store in the 300 block of Santa Monica Boulevard at 1:33 p.m. Sunday, July 23rd, where a store loss prevention officer alleged to officers that a suspect had entered the store, removed the security sensor tags from several items and left without paying.

The suspect was located at another store in the 400 block of Santa Monica Boulevard and detained.

The items, which included Play Station portable movies valued at $79.96, were recovered.

The suspect was arrested and booked in Santa Monica Jail for theft.

SUSPECT ARRESTED FOR ALLEGED ASSAULT

A woman in the 1500 block of Lincoln Boulevard told police at 3:53 a.m. Monday, July 24th, that she, her boyfriend and a suspect were drinking, and the suspect allegedly said he wanted to have sex with her.

When the woman refused, the suspect allegedly pushed her and left.

The woman was not injured.

The suspect was later arrested and taken to Santa Monica Jail, where he was booked for assault.

ALLEGEDLY REMOVED SENSOR TAGS, STOLE CDS

Police were called to a store in the 300 block of Santa Monica Boulevard at 8:44 p.m. Monday, July 24th, where a store loss prevention officer alleged to police that a suspect had entered the store, removed the security sensor tags from some items and left without paying.

The items taken, which were CDs valued at $109.96, were recovered.

The suspect was arrested and booked in Santa Monica Jail for theft.

SUSPECT BOOKED FOR PUSHING MAN TO GROUND

A man in the 1200 block of Palisades Park told police at 11:13 p.m. Monday, July 24th, that he saw two people arguing.

When the man told them to take the argument somewhere else, he got into an argument with one of them.

As the man walked away, one of the suspects allegedly pushed him, knocking him to the ground.

The suspect was arrested and booked in Santa Monica Jail for assault and battery.

PAIR ARRESTED FOR

STOLEN CARD, WARRANT

Police on patrol in the 3100 block of the beach at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 25th, detained a woman after they found clothing and backpacks on the beach.

When officers contacted the woman, they asked if she needed services or referrals, to which she answered no.

A computer search revealed that the woman allegedly had an outstanding $100,000 warrant for her arrest.

While officers were conducting the investigation, the woman’s boyfriend arrived and police allegedly located another person’s credit card in the boyfriend’s possession.

The man was arrested and booked in Santa Monica Jail for possession of a stolen credit card and the woman was arrested for the outstanding warrant.

ACCUSED OF STEALING BOOKS FROM STORE

A loss prevention officer at a store in the 1200 block of the Third Street Promenade alleged to police at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 25th, that a suspect entered the store, used a tool to remove the security sensor tags from books, placed the books in a backpack and left without paying.

The books, valued at $478.25, were recovered.

The suspect was arrested and booked in Santa Monica Jail for commercial burglary.

MAN ALLEGEDLY USED FAKE REGISTER SLIP

Police were called to a store in the 1600 block of Cloverfield Boulevard at 1:32 p.m. Wednesday, July 26th, regarding a theft investigation.

A store employee alleged to officers that during a six-week period, a suspect entered the store, returned stolen items and used a fake cash register slip to get money.

The estimated total loss to the store was $2,400.

During the store’s investigation, the suspect allegedly admitted to the thefts.

The suspect was arrested and booked in Santa Monica Jail for commercial burglary.

BOOKED FOR PUSHING LIQUOR STORE EMPLOYEE

Police were called to a liquor store in the 100 block of Broadway at 10:02 p.m. Tuesday, July 25th, where a store employee told police that he had refused to sell alcohol to a suspect and asked him to leave.

When the employee said he was going to call the police, the suspect allegedly pushed him and fled.

The suspect was arrested and booked in Santa Monica Jail for assault and battery.
