ASSAULTED MAN IN ALLEY
Police were called to the 1900 block of 19th Street at 8:05 p.m. Thursday, April 6th, where a man told them that while he was walking in the alley and passed by three or four men, one of the men allegedly struck him in the head several times, causing him to fall to the ground.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he was treated for facial bruises and swelling. While he was at the hospital, the victim provided police with a description of the suspect and identified the suspect from a set of police photos.
The suspect was later arrested and booked in Santa Monica Jail for assault and battery with serious bodily injuries and an outstanding warrant.
EMPLOYEE ALLEGEDLY STOLE CASH FROM APRON
Police were called to the Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier at 3:20 p.m. Sunday, April 9th, where a theft suspect was in custody.
A Pacific Park employee alleged to police that another employee had stolen $195 in cash from an apron used to give customers change.
The suspect was arrested and booked in Santa Monica Jail for petty theft.
BOOKED FOR USING
FAKE CHECK TO BUY CAR
Police were called to a car dealership in the 1500 block of Santa Monica Boulevard at 1:35 p.m. Wednesday, March 8th, regarding a grand theft auto investigation.
An employee alleged to police that a suspect had purchased a vehicle in December using a fraudulent check as a down payment.
The suspect also allegedly used a second fraudulent check to make a $1,000 payment.
Following the investigation, the suspect was arrested Monday, April 10th, at the Beverly Hills Police Department.
The suspect was booked for using a fraudulent check and bail was set at $5,000.
5 BOOKED FOR DEFACING LIFEGUARD TOWER
Officers on patrol in the 1200 block of the beach at 4 p.m. Monday, April 10th, saw a group of five people at the lifeguard tower 12 allegedly defacing the tower with spray paint and markers.
The suspects were arrested and booked in Santa Monica Jail for vandalism.
ACCUSED OF MAKING THREAT WITH KNIFE
A man in the 1300 block of Yale Street alleged to police at 8:33 a.m. Monday, April 10th, that a suspect had made several threats against him.
The suspect allegedly made one of the threats while he was pointing a knife at the man.
The man told police that the threats may have occurred because he contacted the suspect’s parole agent.
The suspect was arrested and booked in Santa Monica Jail for making criminal threats and parole violation.
