ARRESTED FOR KICKING AND DAMAGING DOOR

Police were called to the 800 block of Grant Street at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 25th, regarding a report of malicious mischief.

A man told police that while he was in his room a suspect knocked on the locked door.

But when the man did not open the door, the suspect allegedly began to kick the door, causing approximately $200 worth of damage.

The suspect was arrested and booked in Santa Monica Jail for vandalism.

SUSPECT BOOKED FOR

DRIVING STOLEN VEHICLE

A police officer on patrol in the 1550 Beach Parking Lot at 2 a.m. Thursday, January 26th, ran a check on a vehicle license plate number that identified it as that of a stolen vehicle, according to the Los Angeles Police Department Northeast Division.

Santa Monica police officers watched the car and a short time later a suspect returned and got into the vehicle.

Police stopped the vehicle and arrested the suspect, who was booked in Santa Monica Jail for driving a stolen vehicle.

ARRESTED FOR STEALING CDS FROM VEHICLE

A man in the 1300 block of Franklin Street told police at 5:08 p.m. Saturday, January 28th, that a suspect allegedly entered a vehicle, removed some items and fled.

Officers located the suspect in the 1300 block of Berkeley Street and he was reportedly identified by a witness.

The items, which included $80 worth of CDs, were allegedly recovered in the suspect’s possession.

The suspect was arrested and booked in Santa Monica Jail for auto burglary.

ALLEGEDLY USED STOLEN CARD TO PAY FOR ROOMS

A hotel manager in the 1200 block of 20th Street told police at 5:56 a.m. Tuesday, January 31st, that a guest had registered for two rooms and paid with a credit card.

Police went to the two rooms and contacted two suspects. Through an investigation, police say they found information that revealed that the credit card had allegedly been stolen.

The two suspects were arrested and taken to Santa Monica Jail, where they were booked for using a fraudulent credit card.

BOOKED FOR SPITTING

ON A MAN AND A WOMAN

Police were called to the 1600 block of Ocean Avenue at 6:05 p.m. Sunday, January 29th, regarding an assault investigation.

A woman told police that while she was standing on the sidewalk, a suspect allegedly approached her and a man and spat on their faces for an unknown reason.

The suspect was arrested and booked in Santa Monica Jail for assault and battery.

SUSPECT ALLEGEDLY PUSHED SECURITY GUARD

Police were called to the 2200 block of Colorado Avenue at 9:55 a.m. Friday, January 27th, where a suspect had refused to leave the premises.

A man told police that the suspect had said he had an appointment in the building, but when the man checked records, he found that the suspect did not have an appointment.

When a security guard asked the suspect to leave, the suspect allegedly pushed the security guard.

The suspect was arrested and booked in Santa Monica Jail for trespassing and assault and battery.
