HELD FOR THROWING STOVE PARTS AT MAN

A man in the 1400 block of Princeton Street told police at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, October 26th, that he had problems with a suspect regarding the repair of a stove. The suspect was apparently upset and allegedly began to throw parts from the stove at the man.

A piece of the stove struck the man, causing swelling and an abrasion to his hand.

The victim did not require medical attention.

The suspect was arrested and booked in Santa Monica Jail for assault with a deadly weapon.

ARRESTED FOR CUTTING MAN WITH KNIFE

A man in the 400 block of Wilshire Boulevard told police at 2:22 a.m. Friday, October 28th, that he confronted a suspect regarding a theft of his personal property.

During the conversation, the suspect allegedly produced a knife and cut the man on the back. The man then fled and called police.

The suspect was arrested and booked in Santa Monica Jail for assault with a deadly weapon.

CHARGED WITH GRAND THEFT OF CLOTHING

Police were called to the 1300 block of the Third Street Promenade at 5:36 p.m. Friday, October 28th, where a theft suspect was in custody.

Store loss prevention officers told police that a suspect had entered the store pushing a stroller with two children.

The suspect allegedly took clothing valued at $568, placed it inside the stroller and left the store without paying.

Loss prevention officers arrested the suspect outside the store. Police arrested her and booked her in Santa Monica Jail for grand theft.
