ALLEGEDLY TRIED

TO CASH FAKE CHECK

A bank employee in the 1400 block of Wilshire Boulevard told police at 4:29 p.m. Thursday, September 29th, that a suspect allegedly attempted to cash a fraudulent $498 check.

The suspect was arrested and booked in Santa Monica Jail for burglary, attempted grand theft and fraud.

ALLEGEDLY TRIED TO CUT WOMAN WITH RAZOR

Police were called to the 1300 block of Euclid Street at 8:26 a.m. Friday, September 30th, regarding an assault investigation.

Officers spoke to a woman who said that after a suspect knocked on her door and she opened the door, the suspect allegedly entered the residence, displayed a razor and attempted to cut the woman.

The woman said she struck the suspect with a stick and two friends who were inside the residence assisted the woman in detaining the suspect until police arrived.

The suspect was arrested and booked in Santa Monica Jail for assault with a deadly weapon.

SUSPECT BOOKED FOR DAMAGING STORE ITEMS

Police were called to the 1500 block of Lincoln Boulevard at 1:33 p.m. Friday, September 30th, where a store employee had been in an argument with a suspect and asked the suspect to leave the store.

When the suspect left the store he allegedly pushed over a pastry container and candy machine, breaking both items.

The damage to the items was estimated at $154.

The suspect was arrested and taken to Santa Monica Jail, where he was booked for vandalism.

BOOKED FOR STEALING AND CRASHING VEHICLE

A woman in the 2600 block of the beach alleged to police at 2:15 p.m. Friday, September 30th, that a suspect had stolen her vehicle and fled.

As the suspect drove away, he allegedly attempted to ram a second vehicle on the roadway and was involved in a traffic collision on Pacific Coast Highway at Entrada Drive.

After the collision the suspect fled on foot, but he was later apprehended by police.

The suspect was arrested and booked in Santa Monica Jail for grand theft auto, assault with a deadly weapon and a hit-and-run misdemeanor.

ALLEGEDLY REFUSED

TO PAY HOTEL BILL

Police were called to the 1900 block of Ocean Way at 11 p.m. Sunday, October 2nd, where a hotel employee alleged that a suspect refused to pay a $981.22 hotel bill for services.

When the employee asked the suspect to pay the bill the suspect allegedly fled in a vehicle and was not arrested.

The suspect’s driver’s license information and vehicle identification information were given to police and the investigation is continuing.

BOOKED FOR STEALING FROM MOTEL GUEST

A man in the 1600 block of Ocean Avenue told police at 8:25 a.m. Tuesday, October 4th, that when he woke up he saw a suspect inside his motel room allegedly taking his property.

The suspect had allegedly entered the man’s motel room and stolen bags that contained the man’s identification, passport and money.

Police investigation revealed that the suspect was allegedly a registered guest at the motel. The man’s property was reportedly recovered from the suspect’s room.

The suspect was arrested and booked in Santa Monica Jail for burglary.

BOOKED FOR DRAWING ON BATHROOM WALL

Police were called to a parking structure in the 1300 block of Fourth Street at 7:53 p.m. Tuesday, October 4th, where a witness alleged that a suspect had entered a public restroom and used a green marker to draw a cartoon sketch on the wall.

The suspect was arrested and taken to Santa Monica Jail, where he was booked for vandalism.
